what the song, and keep the energy high all night. We're always excited when we

... This is not a DJ crowd, although in the band vs. DJ debate, I have always
gone with a DJ. DJ's are affordable. They can play pretty much anything you
ask for. Fewer mouths to feed.
Knowing I couldn't call a DJ without small uprising, I called a band. I got lucky, because it turns out I called the best band, Bill's Toupee: http://www.billstoupee.com/ I picked them because they have an excellent reputation and I used to work with Mike, the band leader's, mom. Turns out that just like his mom, Mike and the entire band are class acts. They were extremely professional. They were on time, They did every thing they said they would do, when they said they would do it. But, even more importantly, they got everyone out on the floor (and with a bunch of lawyers, this is no small task:)), and they sounded great the entire time. From wonderful cocktail hour music to keeping the dance floor going all night, they were spectacular. I was a bit tense about this event, for reasons I will get into in another post, and Mike and the band were like the calm in my storm. It was like having your best friends as your band. I think my board president summed it up best today, when signing the check for the remainder of their fee she remarked "they were worth every penny." I couldn't agree more. "Bill's Toupee" for providing such a variety of great musical
"coverage" at the Institute's annual Holiday Party last month at
Anthony's Pier 9 for our 650 guests. The musical selections were
exceptionally well formatted, providing a perfect progression from
enjoyable light jazz during dinner to exciting dance music. Our
Holiday Party Committee agreed that more people were up on the dance
floor cutting the "rug" than at any previous Holiday Party! . . .a tribute
to the bands song selection and ability to electrify such a large and

I had the pleasure of being at Frederick's tonight (for New Year's Eve
2001-2002). I just arrived home and wanted to tell you that your band
MADE the evening (just 2nd after the friends I was with).
You are very talented performers, and your charisma truly made for a
special evening. I especially found Linda's voice (not to mention her
personality) wonderful in pulling everyone onto the dance floor and into
